News: Blake to Perform at the 49th Annual CMA Awards

NASHVILLE – The superstar lineup continues to grow with the announcement today that Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, and Blake Shelton are each performing during “The 49th Annual CMA Awards,” which airs live Wednesday, Nov. 4 (8:00 PM/ET) from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on the ABC Television Network.

Hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, Country Music’s Biggest Night™ will also feature performances by Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Maddie & Tae, Kacey Musgraves, Paisley, and Underwood, as well as one-of-a kind collaborations with Eric Church joining musical forces with Hank Williams, Jr., Thomas Rhett with Fall Out Boy, and Keith Urban performing with John Mellencamp.


Shelton is nominated for Musical Event of the Year with Ashley Monroe for “Lonely Tonight” and Male Vocalist, a trophy he has won five consecutive times (2010-2014). This marks Shelton’s second Musical Event of the Year nomination with Monroe. Monroe was a member of Pistol Annies in 2013 when they were nominated with Shelton for Musical Event of the Year for “Boys ‘Round Here.” [source]
